about

Music for Meteors / Music for Owl Travellers:
Mythological stories involving celestial occurrences such as comets and supernovae are prevalent in this region. On one occasion a slow moving, bright meteor traced across the dusky sky. Upon seeing this, the entire village abandoned the evening's planned events for an impromptu, night-long ceremony. The ceremony involved masked dancers acting out intricate mythical dramas. A central theme among these stories concerned the “Owl Travellers” that arrived seeking refuge from a pulsating dying star in the M’hul constellation. Comets or large meteors are considered to be fragments of the Owl Travellers voyages. These performances are said to preserve the memory of the Owl Travellers and to send them good fortunes on their journeys.

The Erat Heptahedrons:
Near the village of Erat an assemblage of seven metallic heptahedrons was found buried below the sands. The composition of the objects is of a very dense, durable, mirror-like silver metal. Upon every side of the objects are inscribed bizarre and fantastical creatures and what appear to be constellations or some other star groupings. It is likely these objects depict various anthropomorphized constellation groupings. The people here believe that these objects are star maps accidentally left behind by a space faring race in the distant past.
